I am just back from a vacation in Montreal, where I bought a copy of l'Encyclopédie de la cuisine de Nouvelle-France just for that reason. To learn French through cooking, something I do every day. In particular to learn the words for measurements and procedures.
This is actually a great way to look at it. Focus on the fun you could have with knowing the language, rather than the "chore" of learning it. Nice insight 😄
I'm an avid reader and I learn a lot through it. I firmly believe that the skill of reading is my best gateway to learning other languages.
In Spanish I recommend you the Uruguayan writer Mario Benedetti. For example “La tregua” or “Gracias por el fuego”
Merci Eduardo, je vais essayer de trouver de ses livres!

Salut Kevin! C’est une excellent idée. Et je suis curieux de savoir ce que tu penses de ce livre (et s’il y a des recettes intéressantes, eh eh eh)
