Why we use inverted questions in Quebec

There are three ways to ask questions in French.

1)    You can use an inverted question

Où habites-tu?

2)    You can keep the same word order, but change the inflection

Tu habites où?

3)    You can use est-ce que

Où est-ce que tu habites?
