Thatโ€™s an amazing idea! Even YouTube videos on Quรฉbรฉcois are all in rapid French so my question has always been : who are they made for? For the French, advanced French learners, French-speaking newcomers to Quebec? The creators exclude anglophones who are hungry to learn le quรฉbรฉcois and thereโ€™s a huge demand in Ontario for everyday Quebec French. So a huge thank you to Frederic who is literally building a bridge between anglophones and les Quebecois! โค๏ธ

Thank you! I suspect most videos about Quebec French on YouTube are made for French people (from France). There is a book in English called โ€œSpeak Quebecโ€ but itโ€™s more a small dictionnary of words and expressions. It doesnโ€™t teach you the most important things: how pronouns work, contractions, etc. I hope to fix that with my book, but Iโ€™m also planning a second book, a sort of Quebec French vocabulary deep dive!

Fรฉlicitations! Jโ€™ai une question: lโ€™expression ยซย tire-toi une bรปcheย ยป nโ€™est-elle plus utilisรฉe au Quรฉbec?

Cette expression-lร  est encore utilisรฉe, oui! Mais plein dโ€™autres quโ€™on retrouve dans ce genre de livre, non.
